MAC Cosmetics is launching a brand new collection for 2016. This brand new collection is going to be phenomenal and unique for everyone around the world. With this brand new collection, everyone will not able to wait on its arrival.  What is the phenomenal new collection for MAC Cosmetics? None other than the Queen of Tejano music, Selena. Selena Quintanilla-Perez is a Latina icon who is known for her beautiful voice in the late 80's and the early 90's. Managed by her father, Abraham Quintanilla, Jr., a former musician, Selena was the lead singer of her family band called Selena Y Los Dinos at the age of ten. Selena's brother played the bass guitar while her sister played the drums in the family band.  Selena Y Los Dinos first played at weddings, quinceaneras, clubs, and fairs around the state of Texas.  Selena's success as a singer grew within time.  In 1984, Selena had her first LP record with Freddie Records called Selena Y Los Dinos. While growing up, Selena knew how to speak English. However, her father taught her to sing in Spanish so she can record music relating to her heritage.  At first, Selena spoke Spanish phonetically.  She later on learned how to speak Spanish fluently. In the year of 1987, Selena won "Best Female Vocalist of the Year" and "Performer of the Year" at the Tejano Music Awards.  In the year of 1989, Selena have signed with the record company EMI Records.  After Selena had left Freddie Records, she had already had five LP records with the record company. On October 17, 1989, Selena made a self-titled debut album with EMI Records.  In the year of 1990, Selena made her second album Ven Conmigo.  Ven Conmigo went gold record status.  It was the first Tejano album to sell more than 500,000 copies in the United States. In the year of 1993, Selena released a second album called Live! During the same year, Live! won at the Grammy Awards for Best Mexican/American Album. At the Billboard Latin Music Awards of May 1994, Live! had won Album of the Year.  In the same year, Live! had won Album of the Year at the Tejano Music Awards. Just like the album Ven Conmigo, Live! went gold record status.  Early on in the year, Selena released a fourth album called Amor Prohibido.  The album had also went gold record status. In the year 1995, the album won Record of the Year at the Tejano Music Awards.  During the same year, the album won Regional/Mexican Album of the Year at the Lo Nuestro Awards. In February 2010, the album later went double platinum record status. Selena had also own two of her own fashion boutiques both called Selena Etc. Unfortunately, Selena was murdered by a former employee of Selena Etc. name Yolanda Saldivar on March 31, 1995. Yolanda Saldivar is currently serving life in prison. After twenty years of Selena's tragic passing, MAC Cosmetics is giving Selena her own makeup collection.  In the second half of the year of 2016, the collection will be available.  What makes this project even better, is that Selena's sister, Suzette Quintanilla, will be helping with the makeup collection. Suzette Quintanilla said that Selena always wanted her own makeup line. Suzette also claimed that if the iconic singer was here, she would be beyond ecstatic to have this happening.  As for the new collection, Selena's fans will beyond ecstatic for it to launch in 2016.
