Recycled With Passion

There is so much to say about recycled materials.  It is so jaw dropping to see of what the mind can do with just paper, plastic, or aluminum foil.  When going to the Haute Asiko Fashion Show, every designer had no problem bringing his or her A game to the runway.  From thinking out of the box,  from keeping it creative.  This event was the thing to see.

 

My Favorite…

One of my favorite fashion line on the show was no other than Dark Matter World by Anise Augustin.  I was all over hills when seeing her recycled collection.  What I loved about it is on how creative the designer was with just a carpet. When it comes down to carpet, it is so easy  to turn into attire.  However, this carpet was thought of outside of the box.  What viewers were loving about the carpet was that is it was easily designed as a jacket with a matching skirt to it.  The skirt was above knee length.  Showing off the model’s beautiful legs.  What I just love about this attire is the plastic covering.  The covering is what makes the recycled attire so chic.  It gives the carpet that nice style that is so breathtaking.  With the attire, it had no problem turning heads throughout the fashion show.

 

Denim Please…

There is so much to do with the beautiful fabric of denim.  When looking at the runway, designer Shekinah Williams from The Kinah Kreative did not hold back when using denim.  Now there is a rule that once said “Out with old, in with the new.”  However, Williams had no problem showing that this rule can easily be broken with a little bit of creativity.  By seeing old denim sewn together to create a brand attire just sets the eyes in awe.  In fact, one can forget that the denim that used is old.  It is all about on how make old things look brand new by just allowing the mind to go wild. Each denim attire are fun to look at on the runway.  With these two attires,  playing with old material can be fun.

 

Used Attire…

One of the recycled attires that I just could not forget

was Sara Johnson, designer of The Soka Collective.  It was really amazing on what a mind can do with Amazon packages.  Usually, anyone would throw away package bags.  However, Johnson showed no mercy on the runway once having package bags on the runway.  It was so easy to quickly forget about the bags, and see it as a beautiful attire.  What I personally loved about the attire itself is the way it was styled.  Never would I think that I would love Amazon package bags as a halter top with matching pants.  When looking at the attire, it looks a real jumpsuit that could worn with no problem at all. With this creativity, this makes me want to wear package bags myself.

 

After an incredible night,  I really enjoyed myself.  From lively atmosphere, to the positive energy.  This fashion show was the thing to love.
