Books, Books, and More Books

Reading is one of things that I just love to do.  Whenever I am caught up with everything, I just pick up a nice book and read.  It is getting to where I am reading is my addiction.  I do not feel like my day is complete without reading.  That is why I was so eager to have my makeup inspired on the books that I am reading.  Sure, I did this project for my summer reading.  But, what can I say? I just love reading.  Let the inspiration happen again!

First Book…

The first book that I got inspired was “The Black Kids,” by Christina Hammonds.  I know there is always a saying about never judge a book by its cover.  But with this cover, I could not resist on mimicking my

makeup just like it.  I started off with the color Alana by Revolution’s “Disney’s ‘The Little Mermaid.’”  The sparkling purple had no problem matching the little bit of purple that was used on the cover of the book. I was also wearing a purple shirt on the day that I was inspired by the cover of the book as well.  Next, I went for my Juvia’s Place’s “The Candy Shop” eyeshadow pallet.   I applied the light pink on top of the Alana color.  The light pink color was able to mimic a little of the pink of the book cover.  Next, I went back to “The Candy Shop” eyeshadow pallet and blended in the color cream within the color pink.  With these two colors blending in together, my eyeshadow could not look even better.  Last but not, least I applied the sparkling silver and pink eyeshadow from “The Candy Shop” on top of the previous eyeshadow colors.  This color was able set my whole eyeshadow complete.  With my whole entire makeup done, I was able to crush my book cover inspiration.

Second Book..

The second that got inspired by was “Wild Women and

The Blues,” by Denny S Bryce.  With this look, I kept it simple.  I started off with the color frog from Revolution’s “Disney’s ‘The Princess and The Frog.’”   This green color matched perfectly with dress color of the book cover.  Next,  I went for my “The Nudes by Juvia” eyeshadow pallet.  I applied the color beige on top of the frog color.  Just like the book cover, the beige color was able to allow the frog color to stand out more.  With the beige color, the frog color is able to show off its true elegance.  With this makeup look, it was beautiful.  However, I was still not done with it yet.  I went to Revolution’s “Disney’s ‘The Princess and The Frog’” markup pallet.  I blended in the color Ray within the beige color. The sparkling dirty green color was able to give the first two colors a sensational look that can easily be adored by me.  Altogether, this look is beautiful.  This book inspirational look was the thing the endure.

Overall,  I had fun with makeup just like my reading.  It was so fun get into my creative side once again.  After being book inspired once again, I am planning on making this a habit.  Books and makeup are a great mixture of creativity.
