Beat the Cancer

During the Mother's Day weekend, my community in my hometown had an Annual Relay for Life.  Relay for Life is a fundraiser for fighting cancer.  All of the churches and business companies in my community would  all gather together at the community fairground. All of the churches and business companies would each set up a tent.  They would all sell food and have games for the fundraiser.  They would each have a theme for the Relay for Life.  One of the community church's theme had really grabbed my attention.  The church had did a theme based on the video game Pac-Man.  The church had did the Pac-Man board game maze as their background. They also had great Pac-Man character cut-outs such as Inky and Blinky. What I really noticed about the Pac-Man theme was the t-shirts.  The t-shirt of the church's theme was the color black.  On the design of the T-shirt, the Pac-Man video game character Pac-Man was eating the pellet trail while the Pac-Man video game character Inky was at the end of the pellet trail.  At the bottom of the video game characters read "Chomp Out Cancer." The two words "chomp" and "out" were in blue Verdana letters.  The word "cancer" was under the words "chomp" and "out" in big bold hot pink Verdana letters.  The t-shirts are short sleeve and all cotton material.  This theme was a great strategy considering that every loves the video game Pac-Man.  Ever since the beginning of the 1980's, Pac-Man has been very popular.  Pac-Man is one of those video games that will never get old.  It is one of them strategic games that everyone is just too addicted to.  Both young and old people just love to try to have that yellow video game character to eat all of the pellets of the game board maze. A person would try so hard just to get the highest high score off of Pac-Man.  This video game is so addictive and enjoyable that it is not even funny.  No matter what archade a person will go to, he or she will always find a Pac-Man video game in it.  It does not matter if the video game was before a person's time or not, Pac-Man is just a video game that everyone had played at least twenty times. The thing about the word "chomp" being in the church's title of their Relay for Life theme, is that everyone knows what the video game character Pac-Man is all about.  The video game character Pac-Man is all about chomping pellets, power pellets, and temporary his enemies all around the maze board game.  By having the word "chomp," the video game Pac-Man is the best thing to have as a theme. After seeing the video game Pac-Man theme, I was very impressed how good the theme was.  The church's t-shirt made me want one of their t-shirts. For years, cancer has been killing the ones that we love.  It is time for all of us to find a cure of this deadly disease once and for all. Let us all be like Pac-Man and "chomp" out cancer.
